Pre-peel skin priming
Two weeks prior to your peel appointment a consultation will take place, a patch test will be completed and a skin priming kit will be supplied.
Skin priming is necessary to get the best results possible . Vitamin C and Vitamin A have been proven to increase skin cell renewal, reducing healing time and speeding up the regeneration process. Supplying the skin with both Vitamin C and A prior to a peel treatment will enhance the healing process and ensure optimum results.
Regardless of the peel chosen, research has shown that using topical antioxidants such as vitamin C and vitamin A throughout the treatment maximises skin rejuvenation procedure results. It also speeds healing time and in the case of peels reduces the risk of post-treatment complications.
We recommend that clients start a minimum of 2 weeks prior to the treatment and continue for a minimum of 3 months after the last session.
In order to protect and regenerate skin, we recommend using Medik8's vitamin C products in the morning followed by hydration and an SPF, and the use of vitamin A products in the evening to stimulate and correct, followed by hydration.
